Electrical engineering is a powerful technology oriented world. It comprises of many electronic devices each to fulfil different daily life tasks. Nowadays, the life has been indulged by this technology oriented that it has become difficult for the people to keep themselves away from electronic gadgets.
It is important to understand that how this technology revolution is possible? What are the essential parts of these components that must proceed to lead towards major changes in the architecture on which they are being developed? The basic essence of this evolution comprises because of the changes that has occurred in the wire harness and cable assemblies which are used in the manufacturing of these electronics devices.
A cable harness, also known as a wire harness, cable assembly, wiring assembly or wiring loom, is an assembly of electrical cables or wires which transmit signals or electrical power. Cable assemblies are usually designed according to geometric and electrical requirements. A diagram is then provided (either on paper or on a monitor) for the assembly preparation and assembly.
The wires are first cut to the desired length, usually using a special wire-cutting machine. The wires may also be printed on by a special machine during the cutting process or on a separate machine. After this, the ends of the cable assemblies are stripped to expose the metal (or core) of the wires, which are fitted with any required terminals or connector housings.
A wiring harness is the complete electrical wiring enclosed in an electrical system. A group of insulated conductors which are bound together so as to facilitate the connection of their various terminals.
Applications of Electrical Wiring
All wire harness assembly processes from design through production, carefully analysing each application in order to maximise both performance and durability. It is used abundantly in vehicle electronic systems.
