Wire loom, as its name implies, is meant to enwrap current carrying wires for one reason or the other. It isn’t much different from a cover that surrounds electric wires. In fact, it can be regarded as ‘additional’ protective covering with super protective features. It ensures that the wires/cables are untangled and neatly tucked away. It keeps them pretty orderly and maintained. It makes the cables looking more decent and decorated. It isn’t necessary that wire looms are limited to just electric wires; wire looms are also used to enwrap any solid, prolonged and cylindrical shaped object like water pipes, fuel pipes in the diesel/petrol engine of a vehicle as shown below. Wire looms can be terminated by opting for a suitable length loom such that it can’t slide over cable run. If it slides, cable ties will be employed to get rid of loom sliding. Fix cable ties at the both ends of the cable run and also throughout just to prevent the loom from sliding. In this way, wire looms can be easily and effectively terminated.
